Casa Peya
1930
Family home commissioned by Catalina Jordi in 1930 for a plot of land she owned. Catalina came from a family of landowners and business people, and she was married to the doctor Ernest Peya Miró. The architect was Pelayo Martínez Paricio, from Figueres, who was a member of the second generation of Noucentistes, well-known for his work in Alt Empordà, Baix Empordà, and Barcelona. He was the founder of a ceramic factory in La Bisbal dedicated to manufacturins pieces for architectual ornamentation. Casa Peya in one of the most remarkable examples of Catalan Art Nouveau and Noucentisme in Palafrugell. These houses are a testimony to the economic development derived from trade with the Americas and from the cork industry.

In 2017, Casa Peya Hotel debuted with nine rooms. After further renovation, where part of the old House was preserved, such as the stairs, other areas and the garden, these nine rooms were reshaped into a new home. Casa Peya offers tranquility, comfort and luxury in its details.
